Our Services

If you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands, our services aim to introduce clarity and self-motivation. We also assist in developing skills to better manage the emotional gauntlet of modern life. Each individual is on their own unique journey in life. We believe that education and self-determination are key elements of the journey.

At Turquoise Tree, we offer services in all areas which include, but are not limited to: anxiety/depression, grief/loss, trauma, addictions/concurrent disorders, self-esteem/confidence, sexuality, children/parenting/coparenting, family dynamics,  marriage/relationships, anger management, stress management, eating disorders, self-harm, life transitions and overall mind, body, spirit wellness. 

 

We offer individual and couples counselling services as well as group and corporate workshops.​ We also offer specialized services for children and youth ages 8 years and older.

 

Counselling services may be covered through the client's employee health benefits insurance plans, including NIHB.

 

Sessions can be in-person services, by telephone, or by remote videos (Zoom). 

The modalities we use often are Trauma Informed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, EMDR therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Integrity Model of Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy, as well as other modalities. Often we choose an integrative approach that uses a combination of these approaches based on each clients unique needs and preference.

SELF- DEVELOPMENT

Sometimes, it seems as if life just has it in for us and we can never catch a break. In reality, there will always be moments we have little to no control over but, what we can always control is how we react to those moments. With our guidance, you’ll learn about acceptance and how to exert your power of choice over whatever life may throw at you. We can help you clarify your values and stay committed to making any change or achieve any goal you desire.

RELATIONSHIPS

All human beings are wired for connection to others. Our lives consist of relationships- personal and professional, romantic and familial. Relationships are complex, and we need well developed skills in order to maintain healthy relationships in all areas of our lives. We work with you to develop skills in communication, boundary setting, empathy, and accountability so that you can have fulfilling connected relationships. 

We are also members of the Collaborative Professionals of Saskatchewan and are trained in working with families through separation and divorce.

HEALING & RECOVERY

We use trauma informed modalities- whether it is addiction, trauma, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, grief & loss or other challenges, we believe the human spirit is resilient. We can work with you towards acceptance, healing, and recovery from life's challenges and adversities. We can offer you a sensitive, safe, supportive environment to share your stories and struggles. We will work with you, at your pace, to formulate a healing plan that meets your individual needs and situation.

CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE PRACTICES

We have training in areas of Residential School and intergenerational trauma, as well as culturally sensitive approaches to wellness. We have worked in Northern First Nations communities to offer support to individuals, schools, and community leaders. We strive to support the efforts of reconciliation and choose a client led approach always to working with individuals of any culture or background.

CHILD & YOUTH SERVICES

We have a child and youth specialist on staff. She has well rounded experience and uses modalities specific to working with children, ages approximately 7 years and up, to help address many issues, some of which include anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, emotional awareness and regulation, as well as other areas.

EMDR THERAPY

Erin and Tiffany are both EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) trained therapists. EMDR is commonly associated with treatment of trauma, however this therapy is useful in many areas of emotional struggle. EMDR usually requires a commitment of a minimum of 4 sessions, but this depends on the issue being tackled.
